“Sing to the Lord all the world! Worship the Lord with joy; come before Him with happy songs” ~Psalms 100:1-2
We practice hymns every week on Saturdays to sing and pray on weekends
Our parishioners are using their God-given talents to sing praises to His holy name. The melodious voices blending with the music of the various instruments like the key-board, guitars, violin, flute, etc harmonise our Choir at the Eucharist. Our Parish have mainly three Choirs :
1.The Adult Choir Group
2. The Youth Choir Group
3.The Children’s Choir Group
The Prayer Group Choir plays for the prayer service on Thursday evening. The Zonal Choirs play for their respective community masses.
The choirs bring devotion to our congregation and help the devotees to get immersed into God. They sing to bring God to the heart of the congregation and to inspire the people to sing and pray. They are appreciated by all as they follow the diocesan norms and are well organized and make the liturgy lively.
St. Augustine says, “When you sing, you pray twice!” Singing attracts everyone, especially the young people, to God and it adds taste and liveliness to the liturgical celebration. It immerses the people into the spirituality of the Mass.
